The senior magistrate's court 34,Rijiyar zaki ,ungoggo local government in kano has remanded one Saminu Umar for for brutally beating his ten years daughter according to Daily news Umar beat Naja'atu for visiting her uncle without his permission. The loud cries of the girl attracted neighbours who overpowered the father and rescued the girl, he was reported to Rijiyar zaki police division.

The police arrested him and charged him to court after couple of days in their custody the young girl may lose sight due to the beating, Umar has divorced her mother eight years ago and she is left with thecsepmother and father.Umar pleaded guilty in Court and said "it was a harsh decision", " it is simply the work of the devil".
